Our Post Hotel is located in the centre of San Candido and the building is more than 100 years old. It was originally called the “Fuchsn-Back” when grandfather Wachtler took it over and turned it into the Post Hotel in 1926. And this is when the story of our passion for the hospitality sector first began. Over the course of the years, this popular meeting place in the village centre became a thriving guest business. The East Wing was first expanded, everything refurbished and improved. At the end of the 70s, the Post-Residence was opened next to the Post Hotel, a swimming pool was added and the infrastructure in the Post Hotel gradually expanded, until the building finally became a renowned four-star hotel. Then, in 2006, we opened our family hotel Post Alpina – Family Mountain Chalets in Versciaco. Our three businesses now offer families, couples and singles exactly what they want in a holiday.
Finally, in 2014, we completely renovated our Post Hotel in San Candido. Guests love our new adult hotel with its tastefully designed, fresh, modern suites and rooms and where the stylish interiors are tailored to meet their needs.
Much has happened in the 90 years the Family Wachtler has been running the Post Dolomiti Resorts. An elegant four-star hotel has arisen from a simple guesthouse. Together with our other two houses – the Post Alpina and the Post Residence – we have created different places so that everybody can feel at home.
