The Post Alpina 4-star Chalet is at Versciaco near San Candido. Situated right next to the Monte Elmo ski lifts, its position makes it an extraordinary paradise for cyclists, mountain bikers, downhill and cross-country skiers, hikers and for families in general. The comfortable apartments in Tyrolese style, from the Familia Residence to the Chalet Montana, vary in size from 35 m² to 120 m² and are just as comfortable as a 4-star hotel.

At the invitation of the Mayor of San Candido, Mister Werner Tschurtschenthaler, the pop star and actor Roberto Blanco and his wife Luzandra were on a short visit to San Candido. The party included also the successful TV presenter Gundis Zambo. In the company of friends, she explored the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites. An old-Fashioned Alpine village

The clouds soar through the cerulean South Tyrolean sky, like sweet melodies carried lightly by the wind, wandering like listless dreams. During the day, their colours change, similar to the iridescent wings of certain butterflies: first a dazzling candy-floss whiteness and then reddish and golden flashes so reminiscent of the legendary Dolomites at dawn or dusk.

The changing and fascinating spectacle of clouds was the inspiration for the design of our new Dolce Vita Family Chalet Post Alpina, a unique family hotel in South Tyrol.

The Alpine holiday village - consisting of a main building and 10 traditional mountain chalets - nestles among the woods and mountain pastures at the foot of the ski and hiking paradise of Monte Elmo, which is just a few minutes’ walk away. Cross-country ski enthusiasts will find some of the most beautiful tracks in South Tyrol right in front of the village gate, while an extensive network of paths and tracks for cycles and mountain bikes invite holidaymakers to take pleasant rides amidst the splendid natural landscape of the Dolomites.
At the end of a fun-filled and exciting day, guests will return to their comfortable and spacious Alpine style apartments and they can take advantage of the wide offer of wellness treatments at the “Vita Alpina Spa”. While the parents treat themselves to a Tyrolean stone oil bath, the children can have fun in the Mini-Club in the spacious playroom under the watchful eyes of our entertaining assistants. On request, if you have opted for half board, you can end the day with a choice menu of South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine, accompanied by a glass of Rosso di Montalcino or another of our excellent wines.
